We are going to record some new jams!
I can’t really explain how excited I am about this. It has been over a year in the making. In my mind these are going to be the first real can you keep a secret songs. in comparison to our last two releases - these songs are the best and most genuine we have ever written. I think the last two CD’s really showed CYKAS trying to find CYKAS and what CYKAS sounded like and stood for. Now we know who we are. We know what we want to sound like - which is simply whatever the fuck we want to regardless of what we should or shouldn’t based on outside influence. We will decide how our songs shall go. Now don’t get me wrong - we aren’t going death metal or something anti-fucktheworld-fuckmainstream metalmetal (for that you can hit up my previous teen angst driven band - in harm’s way). If anything I think this record is more singable catchy and fun than the last. Well yes it is just that actually. We now know what we stand for. The songs will elaborate on that though. We hit the studio feb 15 with jesse cannon and mike oettinger. Those 2 fellas work magic and squeeze everything out of us and themselves. Expect new songs and a full US tour this march! Oh boy I’m getting excited. When I return to blogworld ill probably talk some bit about touring in a van with your three best most stinky friends.
