Walk and Paint

We sit here and celebrate the lives we lead with a certain stubborness and sense of for grantedness. We walk there and realize with our own heart and eyes that our perception has been a lifelong deception. We run and wish we took more time to sit and walk. Now we are running trying to catch up with father time who is old and tired just like us. But we can never catch up but only slow down. Slown down straight to the ground where we sat and walked with no thoughts of thank you or gratitude. So I write this mid-walk. My travels have just begun and I’ll walk with my head high but not above anything. I am here for today and only one day. Breathe in, out, left foot, right, one beat, two beats, three blinks, four blinks, breathe in, breathe out. I will walk slow and be a canvas for all I see and feel until my painting becomes a monument hung high and framed well.
